MIUI 9 update is all set to release on 16 August


China Based Smartphone company Xiaomi , officially announced the release date of its latest update MIUI 9, the update is all set to release on 16th August 2017 , Users were waiting from very long time for this update. Huang, the VP incharge of marketing of Xiaomi ,has shared a couple of MIUI 9 update screenshots Weibo-the chinese social networking site, which leaks the whole news. The screenshots were posted in order to get the feedback from users to know what they are thinking of the latest Update.

Xiaomi has already declared the MIUI 9 closed beta update which might be rolled out for testing by the end of July this year. MIUI 9 is expected to be arrive with features like picture-in-picture mode and split screen feature as well and Other features that might also roll out with this new update will be optimized battery consumption which will increase battery backup and ‘Quick Reply’ feature which will very useful for users who uses social networking platforms.

There are some leaks that Xiaomi will be revoking the SMS scheduling feature on the MIUI 9 as there are very few numbers of SMS users nowadays. The another great feature about MIUI 9 is the unneccessary apps, now users can delete unneccessary system apps which were stuck on display in previous update, this will be a very good feature for many users who are frustrated with unneccessary Apps on their smartphone.

The MIUI 9 update will be based on the Android 7.0 Nougat platform for new devices launched by Xiaomi. Older devices might be updated to MIUI 9 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Few days ago Xiaomi updated the list of smartphones that will get Nougat update. Smatphones that are going to get MIUI 9 update based on 7.0 Nougat are Mi Max, Mi 5, Mi 5S, Mi 5S Plus, Mi 4S, Mi Note, Mi Note 2, Mi Mix and Mi Note 4X. While some of the Xiaomi devices will also get an update of Android 7.1 Nougat are Mi 6, Mi Max 2, and Redmi 4X. However, We expect that Redmi Note 4 and Redmi 4 will also bhe part of this update.
